Friday: Awake to a full gourmet breakfast served before a crackling fireplace, then off for a full day of "tax-free" shopping. There are church fairs, bazaars and antique and country artisan's shops to explore. When you return to the Inn all that's needed to wrap your holiday gifts will be waiting...wrapping paper, ribbon and bows, while enjoying hot mulled cider and light hors d'oeuvres. Saturday:  After a hearty country breakfast we'll be busy getting the Inn all dressed in all her holiday finery for the Christmas season ahead. In the evening after the trees are all trimmed we'll relax by the fire with a glass of wine as we enjoy a delicious  farmhouse supper. Sunday: Enjoy a leisurely "candlelight & crystal" breakfast while planning your final day's activities. Return home with all your holiday shopping bought and wrapped! Our wonderful old inn seems to have been made for decorating. Each year we look forward to our "Spirit of Christmas" presentation, as thousands of twinkling lights and the aroma of gingerbread get us in the mood for the festive season ahead. After a hearty breakfast on Saturday attend the Harney Christmas Tea Tasting and Inn Tour (optional, $20 pp) where you will taste a variety of Harney's teas at one of three "tasting" locations. In the afternoon enjoy visiting some of the area's elegant inns decorated in all of their holiday finery, sipping a lovely hot cup of tea and enjoying scrumptious tea nibbles. Proceeds benefit the NH Food Bank. Or spend the day shopping the local artisan shops for the perfect NH gift. Saturday evening will be festive as we enjoy our Dickens Holiday Buffet Dinner. After dinner, as we sit by the fire, we will be entertained by professional storyteller  Rebecca Rule www.mooseofhumor.com, with tales of Christmases past. Join Master tea blenders, Harney & Sons to offer a “Harney Tea Tasting, Book Signing and Holiday Event" on December 5 and 6. The tea tasting event will be hosted simultaneously at a selection of inns in the Sunapee area, which will be decorated in all their holiday finery. The cost is $25 per person with the proceeds going the New Hampshire Food Bank. Tickets for the tea tasting as well as special packages for that weekend that combine an inn stay with the tea tasting are available.
